This is a hands-on, high-ownership role at an early-stage startup. There is no engineering team yet — you are the engineering team. You will build, ship, maintain, and improve the product end to end, working directly with the founders. Frontend, backend, infra, data pipelines — whatever the product needs. Real decisions, real consequences, fast pace.

The stack is Node.js, TypeScript, and Next.js on the web side, with a little Python for data work and SQL for everything data. No legacy sprawl, no bureaucracy.

What you'll own
The full traveler discovery experience — search, filters, property pages, booking flows
Host-facing tools — onboarding, listing management, analytics
Backend APIs, data models, and integrations
Infrastructure, deployments, and reliability
Technical direction — you help decide what gets built and how
What you'll bring
5+ years shipping full-stack products end to end, not just one layer
Solid TypeScript and React, comfortable with Node.js and Next.js
Enough SQL and Python to handle data work without needing another hire
High comfort with ambiguity — you define the problem as often as you solve it
A bias for shipping over planning, and for simplicity over cleverness
A genuine care for travel, hospitality, or the outdoors is a real plus
